Q. Have you ever bought a book BECAUSE of a bad review?
A. I answered this earlier. I tend to not like some of the books that everyone else are raving about so I figure the opposite to be true sometimes also. Just because someone else didn't like it, doesn't mean I won't (especially when the things they dislike are things I know I like in a book).

I don't let the negative reviews sway my decision unless a majority of people feel negatively about it.

I've never bought a bad because of a bad review. I like to judge for myself. I'm a new follower by the way :)

Negative reviews don't stop me from reading books, but I do factor them when it comes to purchasing. If I'm unsure about it, I'd rather borrow it first to see if it's something I'd like to keep on my shelf.
