Took our son to see Finding Dory a couple of weeks ago and of all the previews this one was the one I most wanted to see.


I probably won't see Suicide Squad until it comes out on DVD but still looking forward to it. So far Harley Quinn is my favorite character.

Book Stuff
Epic Reads (full list) posted a list of YA books featuring Jinn (in all forms). This is not a character that I've read a lot of but usually enjoy when they show up (even if it's to cause trouble for the main characters). I've only read one on the list (A Whole New World) and didn't care for it but that had more to do with the main characters rather than Genie.

I like the looks of The Jinni Wars by Amber Lough and The Secret of Ka by Christopher Pike.

I have this book but still haven't read it. This looks like it could be good or go way wrong. I cannot say if it is anything like the book, should probably read it before seeing the movie.


Not really into a lot of horror shows but this looks like it could be good. Plus it has Arthur from BBC's Merlin :) May wait until more of it is out and just watch it on demand.

 Alice Through the Looking Glass

TV
Finally watched season three of Arrow. It was a very up and down season for me. I liked most of the regular story-line but the Hong Kong flashbacks were very dull and didn't add enough to warrant being added. Need to watch season one of The Flash so some episodes or comments would make more sense.


I'll admit I don't really watch any of the housewives shows. They just have never grabbed my interest. Yet, I find myself loving Ladies of London. I don't know if it's their accents, locations, or what but I find it much more interesting with some trainwreck goodness thrown in.

A Mad Zombie Party by Gena Showalter (Goodreads)
*Not sure is I totally like this compared to the others in the series. The hair seems a little flat/ modern. The first covers felt very fantasy and while the background and outfit still fits, from the neck up it is not working.

We took our son to see Inside Out this week. We enjoyed it just as much as everyone else has. Anger was my son's favorite which was fitting since he has had trouble controlling his in the past. I won't go as far as to say it was my favorite Pixar movie but it is right up there. My favorite is still UP.

We saw several trailers for upcoming movies that we are already looking forward to seeing. Two I've talked about before, The Minions and The Good Dinosaur.
Pan ~ Not sure how I missed when these trailers when they both started showing up but both me and hubby thought it looked good.


Book Stuff
Epic Reads did a week of cover reveals (website). I also came across some that were new to me.

The Shadow Queen by C.J. Redwine (Goodreads)
This one grabbed my attention right off. There is a part of my that really likes it and another that keeps thinking this should go along with Stitching Snow series by R.C. Lewis.

Burning Glass by Kathryn Purdue (Goodreads)
The cover was interesting but the blurb for this one grabbed me more. It's about a girl who can feel what everyone around her feels, whether physical or emotional.







Another book that looks like something I would like is A Book of Spirits and Thieves by Morgan Rhodes. Of course I really need to read more of her  Falling Kingdoms series.

Summer Quiz
Epic Reads has a book quiz (website) on what your next summer read should be. Mine was Talker 25 by Joshua McCune. I've never heard of it but it sounds interesting.

I haven't actually watched this trailer. Still working myself up to read the final book in this trilogy.


Dinosaurs are always a big hit in our house since my son has wanted to be a paleontologist since he was 5. Also, we are big fans of Pixar films. This scores on two fronts with us.

I like the blues on this and it fits with the rest of the series.

I mostly like this cover. My initial reaction was positive but now I'm not sure. Almost wish there weren't people on it.

So, I love blue which means the background is a yes. Some of the character poses for this series are just weird but I like this one better than the last 2 covers.
