Reading Lists
Just a couple of articles I found on Epic Reads. One is the best YA book trailers of all time and the other is YA Fairy Tale retellings. These are just a few of my favorites from each list.

Curtsies & Conspiracies by Gail Carriger. The quirky feel to this trailer goes so well with the series.


A Study In Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro. This made me really want to read this book and would watch it if it was a series.

I realized that I've read some from most of the categories but the most has been from Little Red Riding Hood, which surprised me.

Summer Quiz
Epic Reads has a book quiz (website) on what your next summer read should be. Mine was Talker 25 by Joshua McCune. I've never heard of it but it sounds interesting.

Epic Reads did a column on beautiful end papers in books. I always love when there are detailed, well done maps in fantasy books. From the list they showed the end papers for Fairest by Marissa Meyer was my favorite.

I'm probably just missing them but I haven't seen as many book trailers lately. Liked the artwork in this one. Mark of the Thief by Jennifer A. Nielsen

Starting with the obvious one today. I'm really enjoying all the superhero stuff that is around right now.


Dose.com did a list of 31 nail arts for geeky girls. (website)

Funko showed off their new Harry Potter pop vinyl's that are coming out in July 2015. They all look great but I really want the Dumbledore one.

EpicReads has created a list of YA books that are Royal Reads. I must be one of those that enjoy all the court intrigue. There were only a couple that I haven't already read or have on my TBR list.

Ian McKellen starring as a 93 yr old Sherlock Holmes in Mr. Holmes. This is something I would take the time to watch.

Epicreads.com did another infographic. This one is called The United States of YA (here). The book for my state is Wake by Lisa McMann.

I don't have Netflix but this trailer for Marvel's Daredevil looks really good. Don't personally know a lot about this character but still a show I would watch.

This post seems to be about things my son enjoys...

My son is a big fan of the Despicable Me movies. He has been waiting for the minions movie forever and we finally saw a trailer for it. Now for the long wait until Summer 2015.

My son also loves attempting to make flip books. We found this guy on YouTube who takes it to another level. We had fun clicking through his playlist. Most are around 30 secs so does not take long.
