Some Thursday Randomness

Final trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron. We get a run down of all the characters present.

I like quirky things, especially when it comes to home stuff. Think Geek has some really cool things.

What I'm Reading

Another weird/ bad reading week with nothing to really write a review on. I'm having trouble settling on a book and sticking with it for any length of time.
*credit to whomever does the Monday Reading meme. **It's Monday! What are you Reading? hosted by Sheila @ Book Journey

Prince of Fools (Goodreads)
by Mark Lawrence

**I haven't read anything by this author before. I'm liking the world even if I'm not sure about the main character so far. Hard to get behind a guy who starts the book off describing himself as a coward.

The Night Circus (Goodreads)
by Erin Morgenstern

**Trying another audio book. My problem so far is that if I'm not doing something on my laptop I find myself wanting to pick up a book even though I'm listening to one.

Marvel 1602 (Goodreads)
by Neil Gaiman

**Was looking for something different to read while on the road. Saw this while looking through the graphic novels at the library. I like both Neil Gaiman and Marvel so had to give it a try.

Ian McKellen starring as a 93 yr old Sherlock Holmes in Mr. Holmes. This is something I would take the time to watch.

Epicreads.com did another infographic. This one is called The United States of YA (here). The book for my state is Wake by Lisa McMann.

I don't have Netflix but this trailer for Marvel's Daredevil looks really good. Don't personally know a lot about this character but still a show I would watch.

Some Thursday Randomness

So I'm going to start with the obvious one I saw this week. The new trailer for Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron. There seems to be a lot in this and since I don't follow the comics I don't have all the speculation that everyone else does. I'm just looking forward to watching it.

Time.com did a list of the 100 Best Children's Books of All Time. I was surprised by the number of these that I had read even before I had my son. (Website).

Lauren LoPrete has created a Tumblr where she combines Peanuts cartoons with lyrics from The Smiths.

First we'll start with a graphic novel/comic guide. I've said before I'm fairly new to this genre and anything that helps find new things to read or gives a correct reading order once you find something is great. DCE has released the DC Entertainment Essential Graphic Novels and Chronology 2014. You can get a free e-copy either from their website (here) or a kindle copy (here). There's also a 2013 one but I have not looked at that one yet.
