Follow Friday

Follow Friday is now hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it'll allow us to show off more new blogs!

Q. How do you handle a book you don’t like? Do you DNF or do you power through?

A. I t really depends on my mood. Sometimes I will leave a book sitting for weeks or longer and then come back to it. It also depends on if I'm familiar with the author or not.

Happy Friday and Have a Great Weekend!!

  3. For me, I just don't have time to power through a book I don't like. There's way too many books on my TBR to waste time with a book I'm not enjoying even a little bit.

  4. Yeah, sometime it helps to go back to a book. I ditch a book as a last resort. New follower :)

  5. When I leave a book to sit, it usually does help me finish it. Although, sometimes me and a book are just not compatible and it gets the boot. I try not to do too many DNFs, but it's like me and BFs...if we don't connect within the first couple of minutes, it's usually not worth the effort.

  6. I do tend to notice that if I am a fan of the author the book does tend to get a little more struggle and leeway! :) I try my hardest not to DNF, but sometimes it's just a matter of not wasting my time. New bloglovin and GFC follower.

  7. I know that feeling :/ I always try to finish a book, but if it just gets to the point where I know I won't read it, then I give up.

    Happy Friday!

  8. Usually I will give it 50-100 pages but it has to be fast-paced to keep my interest. I will be more lenient towards authors I have read before though.

  10. I sometimes set aside too, and that often works. Rarely I have to DNF but not very much.

  11. I hate to give up on a book but once in a great while, it does happen.
