Follow Friday

Q. Today’s is the US’ Independence Day. Share your favorite book with a war in it, or an overthrow of the government.
A. I decided to stay away from dystopia and go with one of my favorite fantasy reads. I just finished Cursor's Fury (book 3 in Codex Alera) by Jim Butcher. I loved not only the big battle scenes but also the smaller more intricate mind games that were going on throughout the whole book.

    I read Storm Front and really enjoyed it but haven't read the Codex Alera series. My choice was also a fantasy read. I chose George RR Martin's Game of Thrones series. Westeros is being torn apart by war, not to mention the army of white walkers heading toward the Wall from the north!
