**I liked Carey's original Kushiel trilogy and this is set in the same world. I'm about a quarter through and it has some of the same feels but with very different characters (so far).
Smoke and Mirrors by Casey Daniels
Miss barnum Mysteries #1 (Goodreads)
**PT Barnum's sister goes to work at her brother's museum and a murder mystery ensues. I love a good historical mystery. Add on Barnum's sideshow oddities and I'm intrigued.
Naamah's Kiss looks pretty good. I still haven't read Carey. Smoke and Mirrors doesn't look half bad either!
