Armchair Bea ~Day 2 ~ Best of 2012

Today at Armchair BEA is giveaway day. For those not doing a giveaway the suggested topic is "best of 2012". Here are some of my favorites I've read so far. Some released in 2012 and some that I'm just getting around to reading.

2012 releases
Cinder by Marissa Meyer
Fair Game by Patricia Briggs
Born Wicked by Jessica Spotswood

Books I'm Glad I Finally Read
Soulless by Gail Carriger (really looking forward to reading this series)
Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake (the hype worried me but ended up really enjoying it)
Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater (this isn't old but it is the first time reading this author)

I've also found myself reading a lot of Middle Grade and finally read Rick Riordan the last half of 2011 and the beginning of this year. I loved all his books but found the Kane Chronicles more interesting since I'm not as familiar with Egyptian Myth.
New cover revealed on Publishers Weekly. Release set for October 2012

What has been your favorite read this year?

  1. Rick Riordan is awesome. I loved his Percy Jackson series. Ahhh, Born Wicked. Haven't read it yet but definitely will be in my TBR.

Happy Day Two of Armchair BEA!

  2. Oh, I really need to read Anna and Cinder! I'm a bit worried because of the hype for Anna, too, so hopefully I'll also enjoy it when I read it. ^_^

    Thanks for dropping by!

  7. I have never read any of these books or genres. Since I am reviewing a lot of new (to me) blogs as part of the Commenting Committee, I have decided to read a few books from each blog that I have left a comment on. I am pretty much booked up (pun intended) for 2012, I will make this a personal challenge in 2013.

  8. I haven't read any of those yet, I have heard of them, but just haven't got to it.

  9. I've heard great things about Cinder. My fellow Litbrarians read and loved it. I'm not sure if I've heard of any of the others you've selected. *goes to search Goodreads*

I hope you have a great BEA-filled week!
